Highly concentrated with 93% active ingredients, Lumorol K 5229 activates on contact with water to create a rich lather and luxurious foam. It disperses evenly in oil, making it ideal for crafting indulgent shower oils, foaming bath oils, and gentle hair cleansers.

The resulting oil-in-water emulsions rinse off easily, leaving the skin soft without residue.

 

Its mild formulation and pH of 7 in a 10% aqueous solution make it a great choice for sensitive-skin applications. It allows formulators to develop moisturising cleansers with high oil content and excellent foaming ability.

How to use it

How to Use 

Skin Care 

  • When made up into a foaming shower or bath product, it cleanses the skin very thoroughly, it also leaves the skin moisturized due to the high oil content leaving the skin feeling soft and conditioned.

  • It is mild and gentle on the skin and is soothing for irritated skin types.

  • We have found that some essential oils will cause the end product to change colour, e.g., Lemongrass will turn a product containing Lumorol K 5229 a deep yellow/orange colour. Check with a small amount first when using different essential oils.

Hair Care 

  • For many people, it will work well as an elegant body and hair/all-in-one wash. For others, their hair would be best washed separately - it depends on your hair type and hair length. It can be effective to blend into shampoo formulations to make them more gentle on the hair and scalp.

Other 

  • Use 35% to 65% as a general guideline, depending on the oils it is combined with.

  • Oil soluble, so it cannot be used in water-only products.

  • If it is stored in cold conditions, it may sediment. This can be mixed whilst it is warmed gently to 30°C without affecting the quality.
