Himalayan Pink Salt is a natural salt that was formed over 250 million years ago from a prehistoric ocean.
Shifting tectonic plates during the eons have locked this amazing resource into the base of the Himalayan mountain range.
Protected by layers of lava, ice and snow, it has stayed pure for millions of years, free from pollution.
The salt contains the same 84 trace elements and minerals that are essential to the human body and these include calcium, magnesium and potassium.
The attractive pink colour comes from the iron content.

HOW TO USE IT
Skin Care
Excellent for the body and can be used in full baths as well as foot baths.
Leaves the skin feeling smooth and radiant with a healthy glow.
Hair Care
No specific hair care use.
Other
Drop a generous handful of salts into a bath, add hot water and leave until the salts have dissolved.
Then, top up the bath with the water at the temperature you want for a luxurious soak.
Use a large plastic washing up bowl to do the same for a foot bath.
RECIPES & BLENDS
Mix with dried flowers and herbs like Chamomile and Calendula and stir through until evenly dispersed.
Fill a muslin bag with a large handful and steep in the bath far a lovely, gentle bath soak.
Adding rolled oats to the salts and petals will make the bath soothing too.
Try the same with dried Lavender, Cornflowers and Rose Petals.
Layer Himalayan Pink Salt with Epsom Salt, Sea Salt and flower petals in a clear decorative jar, then tie a pretty ribbon around the top and attach a label for a simple yet attractive gift.
Epsom Salts can be easily coloured with a few drops of Water Based Colours and you can even add up to 1% of your favourite Essential Oils to enhance the salts.
Remember to keep the lid tightly sealed to keep out moisture.
Sprinkle some Himalayan Pink Salt on top of Bath Melts or Cold Process Soap for a pretty, naturally coloured decoration.
